Biography:
ivet
formed in late 1995 with an overnight wildfire chemistry, quickly resulting
in a series of regional club appearances, which have contributed to the
band's current momentum in becoming a sought-after name in the local original
music scene. ivet consists of:
Frank
Silver
Vocals, Guitar
Mike Roberts Guitar, Vocals
Scott
Ensign Bass
Mark

Evidenced by
live performances which have been described as "tense" and "moody",
the band's sound is an introspective, emotional one. The news-of-our-world
content of ivet's songs chronicle the trials of adolescence, as experienced
in a broken post-industrial city. Musically, the band's sound is
that of a testosterone-driven, hard-hitting machine, tempered by a self-analytical
sensitivity. This sensitive quality manifests itself in the form
of compelling vocal harmonies with a touch of melancholy and despair.
This dissatisfied melodic stance in further fueled by brooding, desolate
lyrics...
Ivet
garnered two major label offers off the success of their second release
‘sickhouse’. That release shot up the national CMJ Charts,
peaking in the top 100! Profiles in Alternative Press and Jersey Beat
Magazine, a cover story and picture in Unsung Hero Magazine, song usage
by Fox Racing Video and ESPN, and two Warped Tour performances kept ivet
in the spotlight this past year!
Now embarking on their third full-length release titled ‘subsequent
losses’, ivet plans to hit the road in support of this anticipated
release. Sharing the stage with ivet have been Jerry Cantrell, Nickelback,
Godsmack, Papa Roach, Henry Rollins,The Deftones, and many others. ivet
has showcased at CMJ, Millenium, IMF, BOMB, and Undercurrents. ‘failure
boy’ ivet’s first cd release, took ‘Album of the Year’
honors from commercial alternative station WENZ-FM.
